Q. What are the system requirements for ResourceENGAGE?
A. ResourceENGAGE requires a database server with Oracle installed. The most common forms include those with Windows NT/2000 or Unix operating systems.

Q. Tell me more about the database server machine options?
A. Any machine supported by Oracle can be a database server. The most common configurations are typically Windows NT/2000 machines or SUN, HP and IBM Unix machines.

Q. Does ResourceENGAGE require a dedicated database server?
A. No. Other applications or databases can co-exist on the same server.

Q. Are there any volume or size restrictions with respect to number of users, volume of transactions or data storage?
A. With ResourceENGAGE, there are virtually no limits. Your database is only constrained by hard drive capacity and number of hard drives allocated to it.

Q. How does ResourceENGAGE work over the Internet or an Intranet?
A. ResourceENGAGE can operate over the Internet / Intranet using differing program modes.

Q. Do I install ResourceENGAGE in-house or can I have ResourceENGAGE hosted externally by a third party and have my in-house users access ResourceENGAGE over the Internet?
A. Both are common applications. If you wish to web-host ResourceENGAGE, you should choose an appropriate service provider with whom you feel comfortable.

Q. What is Oracle?
A. Oracle is the world's largest database supplier. Its products execute on almost all hardware and operating system platforms. Most mission-critical applications are typically Oracle-based.

Q. What effort is required to implement ResourceENGAGE?
A. In general, ResourceENGAGE takes much less time to implement than comparable systems. A smaller installation (10-15 users) can usually be implemented and running within weeks.

Q. Do I need special Oracle expertise?
A. No. The only time Oracle expertise could be particularly beneficial is during actual software installation. Accounting Software Management's Oracle expertise is always available, by phone or on-site if required.

Q. What about migrating data from my older system, interfacing to other special in-house applications, or adding some special functions?
A. We are geared to be a total solution provider, and these services are utilized frequently by our small and medium clients.

Q. Do we need a database administrator?
A. For most installations, this is unnecessary. Our help desk can provide the degree of support needed.

Q. What kind of support do you offer?
A. We provide all levels of business and technical support.

Q. What happens in respect to warranties and future software releases if we engage you to carry out a specific customization we desire?
A. In most cases, we can take the underlying business objective and find a way to implement the 'customization' generically. The benefit to you is that these automatically remain part of the product through all future updates.
